MgO/CuO nanocompositeswas prepared with different molar ratio by sonochemical method and used as an adsorbent for removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solution. These nanocomposites and MgO, CuO were synthesized through reaction of magnesium nitrate, copper nitrate respectively with alkaline solution of NaOH in presence of polyvinylpyrrolidoneas a capping agent.
