The concept of mean inactivity time of a random life plays a role in analyzing censored data and is applicable in areas such as biology, physics, and forensic sciences. In this investigation, a new testing method for increasing the mean inactivity time class is proposed. In addition, based on an evaluation of the Pitman asymptotic, a comparison between the proposed test and two other related ones in the literature is conducted. Some numerical results are also presented to demonstrate the performance of the testing method.
