Abstract

The discussers thank the authors for developing the equations to determine the flow passing through cylindrical central baffle flume (CCBF). Using Buckingham’s pi method and self-similarity hypothesis, the authors presented the dimensional equations to measure CCBF flow discharge in trapezoidal channels with different side slopes. The selected equation in the original paper [Eq. (18)] calculates the flow discharge (Q) as a function of flow depth upstream of the flume (y), channel bed width (B), side slope of the channel (m), and the diameter of the cylinder (D). However, the discusser would like to draw attention to the following points
