This paper presents a novel circuit with a new control strategy for rejecting the second harmonic ripple from the output of power factor pre-regulator. While the new circuit can be added to any power factor pre-regulator it maintains a high power factor with a small output capacitor. Simulation results of a boost converter show the fast response with almost zero ripple of the output.
