Utilization of the heat pumps for drying is interesting and very practical. Heat pump dryers possess high coefficient of performance and potential improvements in the quality of dried products due to heat pump’s ability to operate at lower temperatures are major advantages of them and compatible with low-temperature drying operations. In present study, a heat pump dryer is simulated.The results of simulation studies of heat pump dryer for different evaporator temperatures and condenser temperatures have been calculated. The simulated results indicated the coefficient of performance (COP) of heat pump dryer increases with decreasing condenser or increasing evaporator temperatures and the compressor work decrease. It is also observed that heat rejected from condenser increases with increasing evaporation temperature.
