Abstract Objective: The present study investigates the aggression in marital relationship as a predicator of divorce in Saghez, Iran. Methods: The sample space consisted of fifty-two couples who were applying for divorce and fifty-two ordinary couples (a total of 208 candidates). The assemblage of divorce applicants and counseling center clients were used as the divorce samples and a random multistage cluster sampling taking method was used to select from the control group. All sample couples were tested using the. The sub scale of aggression of SCL-90-R was used as a measure of subjects’ aggression. In spite of the descriptive statistic method, the discriminate analysis method was applied to analyses the data collected in this research. Results: The results of the descriptive analysis and discriminate analysis are shown in the tables below
