Abstract

The capabilities of managers are counted as one of the factors contributing to success and sustainability of organizations today. Managers should possess skills that can help them in order to ensure effective and efficient use of personnel and technology activities under their supervision. The aim of this study was to evaluate the status of three essential management skills (i.e. technical skills, human skills and conceptual skills) and the interaction between the operational managers, middle managers and top managers of state-owned banks in the city of Sanandaj (Bank Melli, Sepah, Keshavarzi and Maskan). This research was conducted through a questionnaire. In order to explore the development of structures and characteristics, the principal component analysis (PCA) and linear structural relations (LISREL) was used. The resulted model of this study suggests that there is a significant relationship between the component management skills. Based on these findings, the State banks in Sanandaj technical expertise have a positive impact on human skills and other cognitive skills and on the other hand , human skills can enhance and develop conceptual skill.
