The aim of present work is to calculate the force and momentum exerted by wind on high buildings. For this purpose a 2 dimensional single building with 30 meters height is simulated and wind is blowing with velocity of against the building. The pressure force, wall friction force, and also momentum have been calculated. Finite Element Method (FEM) has been utilized to simulate the flow field. No-slip condition is satisfied on all walls and ground. Flow is considered turbulent and standard [1] is used for the turbulent model. Another simulation for four similar and parallel buildings with a 15 m distance between them is presented. A comparison of exerted drag and momentum by wind on the walls of four buildings is obtained.
