Selection of suitable areas for exploration studies due to the increasing costs of exploration operations has an important role in the success of mineral resource exploration projects. Remote sensing is one of the fast and inexpensive methods that can be used to study a wide area. So we can use remote sensing in reconnaissance for mineral exploration. In this research application of remote sensing for Iron potentials was investigated. In this research application of remote sensing for Iron potentials reconnaissance, was investigated. For this purpose, ETM7 data and ENVI software were used. After performing atmospheric and geometric corrections and applying various filters, the area with high potential for conducting exploratory studies on a larger scale was introduced. Therefore, with the help of satellite imagery and processing techniques including color composition, band ratio, and principal component analysis, and crustal method, iron oxide alterations were well displayed in the study area. To validate the obtained results, the points introduced as potentials were surveyed.
