This paper presents a compact dual-band metasurface with polarization rotation performance including U-shaped strips to rotate polarization of electromagnetic wave into its orthogonal counterpart in transmission and reflection modes. To demonstrate the proposed U-shaped unit cell mechanism, an equivalent circuit analysis is employed. The proposed polarization converter is able to rotate left-handed circularly polarized wave (LHCP) into right-handed one in transmission-mode at the bands of 11.3 GHz and 17.6 GHz. Moreover, right-handed circularly polarized wave (RHCP) can be converted to LHCP in reflection-mode at 11.3 GHz and 17.6 GHz. Additionally, despite of increasing the incoming angle of incident wave, the response of the proposed design is able to be almost stable up to . At the symposium, details of the polarization rotation procedure, and comparison to previous works will be exhibited.
