Abstract
We report an efficient, convenient and facile method for the condensation of 2-aminothiophenol with aromatic aldehydes to the corresponding 2-arylbenzothiazols using a catalytic amounts of metaborosulfuric acid (MBSA) in CH2Cl2 at RT.
