In this article we extend the notion of orthogonal metric space to strongly orthogonal metric space. Also, the aim of this research is to define ⊥-proximally increasing mapping and obtain several best proximity point results concerning this mapping in the framework of new spaces, which is called strongly orthogonal metric space
