Quercus brantii and Pistacia mutica are two known and prevalent forest trees from Kurdistan province (west of Iran).Ulocladium atrum was isolated and identified as an endophytic fungus of Q. brantii and P. mutica growing at the Zagros forests. Some of 35 fungal isolates were obtained from 50 root and trunk samples ofQ. brantii and P. mutica samples collected in May and June 2010–2011. Twenty isolates showed the association of endophytic, U. atrum that is first report on Q. brantii and P. mutica from Iran.
