Seismic interpretation in geologically complex structures is one of the controvertial task Structural interpretation in geologically complex structures is one of the controvertial task in the field of seismic interpretation. The Zagros thrust fold belt is one of the complex oil bearing structures in the world. Many authors derived several scenarios for folding system of the Zagros thrust fold belt. In this study the Izeh zone was selected for seismic structural interpretation and to draw the fodling scenario of the system. Interpretation on the seismic section obtained in such regions, especially when accompanied by a thick layer of gypsum that attenuate most of the energy, is a demanding task. Therefore a new introduced seismic imaging technic was used to obtain an enhanced seismic section. The seismic imaging method that used here was the common reflection surface (CRS) stack method. A folding scenario that was introduced was also used here. For better structural interpretation. With all the data and imaging tools available, the interpretation on the seismic section could resolve the ambiguity of structural interpretation in this region.
