Life testing is one of the major issues in reliability theory. To reduce the costs and time of life testing different approaches have been proposed; truncated life test and failure censoring are among other. In a truncated life test, life testing for an item is terminated at a prefixed time. On the other hand, acceptance sampling plans can be classified as one of the statistical methods of quality control. While we want to decide regarding the quality of a lot, the subject of acceptance sampling plans arises. If the quality characteristic of interest in a lot is lifetime, two subjects of acceptance sampling plans and life testing are usually combined. In this paper, resubmitted sampling (RS) plans are proposed in the context of truncated life testing. Operational procedure of the RS plan is proposed, and the operating characteristic curve of the plan is derived. Application of the RS plan is demonstrated using an example.
