Evolution stochastic linear partial differential equations, mainly stochastic heat equation and stochastic wave equation, are considered.First, existence of weak solutions of these equations are shown, under certain assumption on the noise. Spatial finite element semi-discretization of such equations are studied in the framework of semigroup theory of linear operators. Optimal order error estimates for the deterministic problems are proved. These are then used to prove strong order of convergence for the stochastic problems
