The Schiff-bases produced from the reaction of anthranilic acid with aryl aldehydes, are cyclized with acidic solution of potassium cyanate in PEG. Good to high yields of the new compounds trioxobenzotriazocine-1(2H)-carboxamide derivatives are synthesised and in short reaction times and simple work-up.
