Here, we have described for the first time,the synthesis of a series of 3-amino-2-4-quinazolinediones with various substitutions on aromatic rings.They have been prepared by reaction of anthranilic acid derivatives with semicarbazide hydrocholoride in DMF under reflux condition. The reaction was carried out in one-pot, without use of catalyst.
