Introduction
Dr. Hamid Farvaresh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Kurdistan, where he also holds an appointment as the Director of Planning, Budget, Organizational Change, and Productivity. Dr. Farvaresh joined the faculty of Engineering at the University of Kurdistan as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering in 2012. His primary research interests are Machine Learning and Business Intelligence, Transportation Planning and Economics, Statistical Analysis, Optimization and Mathematical Programming (with a focus on Integer Programming, Game Theory, and Bi-level Programming), Heuristics/Meta-Heuristics Algorithms in Optimization. He teaches operations research I&II, Integer Programming, Data Mining, Statistical Methods, Statistical Experimental Design, Social Network Analysis, Linear Algebra, Engineering Statistics, Computer Applications in Industrial Engineering. He earned a B.Sc. in industrial engineering from the Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. He then attended Tarbiat Modares University, where he earned both an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in industrial engineering.
