چکیده

Load Frequency Control (LFC) design has been one of the important problems in electric power system design/operation and is becoming much more significant today due to the increasing size, changing structure and complexity of interconnected power systems. This work presents a robust agent based control strategy for designing of LFC system in a deregulated environment. A two-agent control system measures/receives the required signals/data and estimates the total power imbalance, generator participation factors, and produces control action signal through a robust proportional-integral (PI) controller. The H∞ control technique is applied to achieve optimal PI parameters. To illustrate the developed approach a real-time experiment has been performed on the Analog Power System Simulator at the Research Laboratory of the Kyushu Electric Power Co. (Japan).
