This is a randomized control trail to evaluate the effectiveness of Mindfulness integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MiCBT) on depression, adherence, and control of blood glucose in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Measures included: Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Adherence to therapy scale, and Glucosilated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) test. Therefore 25 patient who met the entrance criteria were chosen and assigned into two group (control and experimental). After that an 8 session MiCBT was done for the experimental group. The results' showed a significant effect of MiCBT on the patients depression (F=41/48, p 0/001) and adherence (F=155/68, p 0/001), but despite a degree of reduction in HbA1c test of experimental group compared to control group, no significant effect of HbA1c was seen between groups (F= 2/213, p 0/127).
