Abstract

Laser interference lithography is a fast and easy method to produce periodic nano-structures on solid substrates. Typically, light from a source is spatially filtered and directed on a glass substrate, with a photosensitive coating, and a mirror which is positioned with 90 degree angle beside the glass substrate. The reflected light from the mirror interferes with the incident light on the sample and forms a periodic intensity pattern that can be recorded by the photosensitive coating. Using LIL we have fabricated various nano-structures on the glass substrates and the interaction of cells with them was investigated.
