Abstract Three novel and green nano-scale magnetic solid base catalysts (CoFe2O4@glycine-M (M=Pr, Tb and Yb)) have been synthesized and characterized by XRD, TGA, VSM, EDX, ICP-OES, SEM and FT-IR spectroscopy. These robust nanohybrid catalysts as efficient and reusable heterogeneous nanocatalyst systems were used for synthesis of 5‐substituted 1H–tetrazoles and sulfoxides in green condition. The present methodology has outstanding advantages such as simplicity of procedure, facile synthesis, high activity, easy isolation of the products and reusability for several consecutive runs without significant loss of their catalytic efficiency
