The research aims: To study of the nature of the relationship between schooling and employment in Europe (Cases including Finland, Sweden and Germany). Examine the views of educational policy makers towards current relationships between education and the economy; Ascertain the business’ and employers’ expectations of connection between the school curriculum and the changing needs of labour market; Examine the factors which may influence the introduction of effective work-related courses in secondary schools; Highlight the most important educational dilemmas which may affect youth employment opportunities and how these issues might be addressed in a restructured secondary education; Discuss applied ways and strategies by which European countries (preferably, Finland, Sweden and Germany) improve their secondary school curriculum in order to equip students with skills, abilities and qualifications for a high skill economy. To determine key qualifications which must be considered in the youth preparation for a highly industrialised society. To investigate appropriate models of work related schooling.
